All Eyes on Paroi as NSFC Eye Quarter-Final Spot

Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) are refusing to take anything for granted ahead of the second-leg Round of 16 Malaysia Cup 2025/26 clash against Imigresen FC tomorrow night.

After playing out a goalless draw in the first leg at the Penang State Stadium, Batu Kawan last week, the tie remains finely poised, with both sides still very much in contention. The winner of the decisive encounter in Paroi will secure a place in the quarter-finals, where Selangor FC await.

NSFC captain Khuzaimi Piee confirmed that preparations within the Hobin Jang Hobin camp are progressing smoothly, with the squad fully focused on securing a home victory to continue their Malaysia Cup journey.

“Alhamdulillah, we can see that the team’s preparations are on the right track. I hope that before we face Imigresen this Sunday, all players will be fully ready,” said Khuzaimi.

Despite the advantage of playing in front of home supporters, Khuzaimi cautioned his teammates against underestimating the visitors. He acknowledged the quality within the Imigresen FC squad, which features several experienced players with Malaysia Super League pedigree.

“Imigresen FC are a good team. We know that many of their players have previously competed in the Super League. We cannot take them lightly. As players, we must give our best and compete fully,” he added.

When asked about key opposition threats, Khuzaimi stressed that the danger lies in Imigresen FC as a collective unit, underlining the need for every NSFC player to shoulder full responsibility on the pitch in the crucial encounter.

A Message of Strength and Resilience: Support for Khuzaimi Piee

Behind every player’s battle on the field lies a personal story of courage, recovery, and perseverance. For Negeri Sembilan FC defender Khuzaimi Piee, that story was recently shared in heartfelt words by his wife — offering fans a glimpse into the human side of football beyond the ninety minutes.

In a touching Instagram story, she revealed that Khuzaimi’s recent buzz cut wasn’t just a style change, but a symbol of a fresh start after going through a difficult period. “Knowing him, he only did a buzz cut when he goes through something or wants a new beginning,” she wrote.

Addressing his recent return to action, she expressed deep pride in his determination to push through despite just recovering.

“You just recovered and that was your first match — a situation where many regular players can’t make it. You could’ve just said you’re not ready, but you pushed through and I’m so proud of you.”

Acknowledging the criticism that comes with professional football, she urged understanding and empathy from supporters:

“Fans and even critics were mocking and cursing you, but never resent them. Some use their hard-earned money to buy tickets, so it’s fair they get emotional. But don’t let the negativity win.”

Her message ended with words of encouragement that reflect not only love and support but also belief in his ability to rise again:

“This is not your first time, and you know the drill. Only good performance will restore the confidence and faith. This is just a phase. So keep going, Baba & team — you got this!”

The post serves as a powerful reminder that behind every player stands a support system — family, teammates, and fans — who share in their struggles and triumphs alike.

Negeri Sembilan FC stands together with Khuzaimi Piee and the entire squad as they continue their journey this season — stronger, united, and ready to fight for the crest.

NSFC Seek to Regain Winning Momentum Against Imigresen FC

Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Imigresen FC in a Malaysia Super League fixture at the Negeri Pulau Pinang Stadium in Batu Kawan tomorrow evening.

Fresh from a disappointing defeat to Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) FC in the FA Cup Round of 16 in Selayang, the Hobin Jang Hobin squad are determined to deliver a stronger performance in pursuit of their second league victory of the season.

Khuzaimi: “We Need Spirit and Focus”

Team captain Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee expressed hope that his teammates will step onto the pitch with high confidence and fighting spirit to secure a positive result.

“Playing away from home is never easy, but a win is possible if every player executes their responsibilities well. Any weakness or mistake from previous matches must be avoided as it can disrupt our rhythm and overall game plan,” said Khuzaimi.

The former Harimau Malaya defender, who has recovered from his pre-season injury, also stressed the importance of not underestimating their opponents.

“We cannot treat Imigresen FC as just a new team in the league. They have their own strengths and deserve respect. Any lapse in focus could cost us dearly. We need to remain alert to their tactical approach and translate the coach’s instructions into action effectively,” he added.

Respecting the Opponent

Led by head coach Yusri Che Lah, Imigresen FC have shown promise despite being newcomers to the league. Khuzaimi noted that NSFC must prepare thoroughly and maintain discipline to overcome the challenge.

With coach Nidzam Jamil guiding the squad, Negeri Sembilan will look to build on their encouraging league performances so far while learning from recent setbacks, as they continue their quest for consistency in the Super League.

Khuzaimi Relieved to Return, Eyes Strong Push With Negeri Sembilan

Negeri Sembilan captain Khuzaimi Piee has expressed his relief after finally returning to action, following nearly two months on the sidelines with a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury sustained during pre-season.

Affectionately known as Jimmy, the experienced defender is determined to regain his match rhythm and help The Jangs climb the Malaysia Super League standings while pushing deep into both the FA Cup and Malaysia Cup campaigns.

“I’m grateful to be back with the team after being sidelined for more than a month due to injury. With the encouragement from my teammates and the coaching staff, I believe we can achieve greater things together.

As a player, I need to take responsibility and rise to the challenge—using every minute on the pitch to drive Negeri Sembilan forward,” said Khuzaimi.

Nidzam Provides Update on Luqman Hakim

Head coach Mohd Nidzam Jamil also gave an update on striker Luqman Hakim Shamsudin, who has yet to make his debut this season.

“He’s already back in training with the team, but I don’t want to take any risks. The league is a marathon, not a 100m sprint—we don’t want to lose him for a longer period. It’s better to ease him back gradually so that we can rely on him throughout the season,” explained Nidzam.

Skipper Khuzaimi Piee Marks Long-Awaited Return Against PDRM

Negeri Sembilan FC captain, Khuzaimi Piee, finally made his first appearance of the season in the Piala FA clash against PDRM FC, marking a significant milestone in his recovery journey.

After being sidelined with a pre-season injury that kept him out of action for months, the experienced defender returned to the field in the 60th minute, replacing Zainal Abidin. His introduction was met with strong support from the stands, as fans celebrated the skipper’s long-awaited comeback.

Khuzaimi’s presence at the heart of the defence immediately lifted the team’s confidence, with his leadership and composure on the ball reminding everyone of his vital role within the squad.

The club and fans alike will be encouraged by his return, as his experience and influence are expected to be crucial in the coming fixtures across all competitions.

With the captain now back in action, Negeri Sembilan FC will be hoping to build further momentum as the season progresses.

NSFC Set Sights on First Home Win Against PDRM in FA Cup Clash

Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) are determined to build on their spirited start to the Super League campaign as they prepare to face PDRM FC in the FA Cup Round of 16 first leg at the Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi, tomorrow night.

With this being their first home match of the season, the Jang squad are eager to seize the advantage on familiar turf before heading into the decisive return fixture.

Captain’s Rallying Call

Team captain Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee emphasized the importance of focus and commitment from every player in ensuring that the opportunity to secure a positive result at home does not go to waste.

“Facing PDRM, a side with plenty of experience and unbeaten in two Super League matches, is no easy task even with home advantage. However, this is a chance we must not squander. Every player needs to shoulder full responsibility, remain focused, and deliver their best to ensure the result goes our way,” said Khuzaimi.

Learning and Confidence Boost

The 31-year-old defender, affectionately known as Jimmy, noted that the squad must translate their training and tactical preparations into performance on the pitch. Having missed the recent away fixture against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), Khuzaimi is eyeing a strong return to lead his teammates towards victory.

“This clash with PDRM is crucial for us. A win will provide the team with the confidence and momentum needed to continue our challenges in both the Super League and the FA Cup. I believe my teammates will take this match seriously and ensure that the coach’s (Nidzam Jamil) strategies are fully executed on the field,” he added.

Aiming for a Winning Start at Paroi

With the backing of home supporters, NSFC will look to capitalize on their first outing in Paroi this season, using the energy from the stands as extra motivation to secure their first victory of the campaign.

Khuzaimi Confident NSFC Ready for Liga Super Kick-Off Against JDT

Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) captain Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee has expressed his confidence that the squad is fully prepared for their Liga Super 2025/2026 opener against 11-time champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) at the Stadium Sultan Ibrahim, Iskandar Puteri, tomorrow night.

The experienced 31-year-old centre-back revealed that NSFC’s pre-season campaign had been encouraging, with a series of positive results in friendly matches helping to build momentum ahead of the new season.

While mindful that pre-season form is no guarantee of victory, Khuzaimi believes the team’s growing confidence and cohesion can translate into a strong performance against formidable opposition.

“Our preparations have gone very well. Every player has shown tremendous confidence and spirit following an intensive training programme. The team fully understands the tactical approach and match strategies outlined by our head coach, Nidzam Jamil,” Khuzaimi stated.

The Melaka-born defender emphasised that the squad will head to Johor with a renewed sense of purpose and determination, aiming to sustain their intensity and focus throughout the full 90 minutes in search of a positive away result.

However, he acknowledged the scale of the challenge ahead, with the Southern Tigers having sent a strong message in their commanding 3-0 victory over Selangor FC in the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Cup last Friday.

“We know JDT are in top form and will be playing in front of their home crowd. It will be a stern test, but we are ready to give our all to match their intensity and compete at the highest level,” he added.

The clash promises to be an early benchmark for NSFC, as they seek to make a statement and begin their Liga Super campaign on a positive note — even against one of the most dominant forces in Malaysian football.

Khuzaimi, fondly known as Jimmy, received the captain’s armband from head coach Nidzam Jamil, and has vowed to carry out the role to the best of his ability with full support from his teammates.

“I consider this role entrusted by the coaching staff as a responsibility to be fulfilled sincerely. But I don’t see it as a burden, because I’ll be carrying it together with my teammates,” he said.

“Every player wants to elevate Negeri Sembilan’s name and achieve better results throughout the 2025/2026 season. So everyone will do their part and take their responsibilities seriously.”

The 31-year-old former Harimau Malaya defender is focused on restoring pride to the Hobin Jang Hobin squad after a disappointing previous season.
