Negeri Sembilan FC has taken an important preparatory step towards the development of its future Training Centre, focusing on pitch quality even before construction begins.
Earlier today, the club’s management team, led by Chief Executive Officer Faliq Firdaus and Technical Director Efendi Abd Malek, visited a specialist grass nursery to inspect and test the type of turf that will eventually be used at the NSFC Training Centre. They were joined by The Jangs striker Joseph Esso, highlighting the club’s intent to involve footballing stakeholders in decisions that directly affect training performance.
The nursery, operated by Tuan Normas, a renowned pitch specialist, is being prepared specifically to cater for the future NSFC Training Centre. This early engagement ensures that turf cultivation is aligned with professional football standards well ahead of the centre’s physical development.
It has been confirmed that the Training Centre pitch will utilise Zoysia Matrella grass. Known for its resilience, fine texture, and suitability for high-intensity football use, Zoysia Matrella is widely regarded as a premium surface for elite training environments.
With the turf preparation phase now underway, the overall project is planned to move forward in stages, beginning with groundwork preparations in the near future. This proactive approach reflects Negeri Sembilan FC’s long-term vision of building a high-performance ecosystem, where infrastructure planning, pitch quality, and player development are given equal priority.
The initiative underscores the club’s commitment to sustainable development and setting strong foundations for the next phase of Negeri Sembilan FC’s growth, both on and off the pitch.
