Better Days Ahead at STAR as RM5 Million Upgrade Project Begins

The Negeri Sembilan State Government is currently undertaking comprehensive upgrading works at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman (STAR), involving several key components aimed at enhancing spectator comfort and overall stadium facilities.

According to Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Utama Haji Aminuddin Harun, the upgrade works include a full repainting of the stadium, refurbishment of players’ dressing rooms, and the installation of new floodlights. The project is expected to be completed within six months.

“The estimated total cost of this upgrade project is around RM5 million, including the floodlight installation, and we hope all works can be completed according to the scheduled timeline,” he said during a post-State Executive Council (Exco) meeting press conference.

Addressing concerns over ticket pricing, Aminuddin clarified that the ongoing stadium upgrades will not have any impact on existing match ticket prices.

On team performance matters, the State Government has also increased its allocation to Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) to facilitate the recruitment of several new players that had previously been approved.

While acknowledging that the team’s performances have yet to reach consistent levels, Aminuddin expressed hope that the club’s management and coaching staff will place full focus on preparations—particularly for home matches—in order to achieve more positive results.

“We place our trust in the management to run the team without excessive interference, but we also expect returns that are worthy of the state and our supporters,” he added.

Aminuddin also noted that pressure from supporters and reactions on social media are a normal part of football. As such, the responsibility must be shouldered collectively by the management, coaches, and players as part of a united organisation.

According to him, the most crucial aspect at this stage is the players’ spirit and commitment on the pitch. Wins and losses are part and parcel of competition, but supporters demand visible effort, discipline, and fighting spirit in every match.

“Supporters can accept results, but commitment is the most important factor—and at the moment, we are still not at the level we aspire to reach,” he concluded.

Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi Set for a Fresh New Look

The iconic Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman is undergoing a long-awaited facelift, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the matchday experience for Negeri Sembilan football fans.

In an interview conducted by OhMedia, an officer from Majlis Bandaraya Seremban, Encik Ibrahim, confirmed that the renovation works are real and already in progress, addressing widespread speculation that recently went viral on social media.

A Necessary Upgrade After More Than Two Decades

According to Encik Ibrahim, the stadium has not undergone a major visual upgrade for more than 20 years, with the last significant works dating back to the SUKMA era. With Negeri Sembilan FC enjoying strong and growing support, the decision was made to refresh the stadium’s appearance to better reflect the pride and identity of the state.

“Since our supporters are increasing, we want to beautify the face of our stadium,” he shared, highlighting the importance of keeping the venue aligned with modern expectations while preserving its legacy.

New Colours, Renewed Identity

While the exact colour scheme has yet to be officially revealed, Encik Ibrahim hinted that the new look will strongly resonate with the Negeri Sembilan identity. He confirmed that he has already seen the final concept but stressed that supporters should wait for the official unveiling.

What is certain, however, is that the revamped exterior will offer a more vibrant and visually appealing atmosphere—perfect not only for football, but also as a new landmark for fans to capture photos and create lasting memories on matchdays.

More Improvements to Come

The current renovation is just the beginning. Encik Ibrahim also revealed that additional upgrades are planned in phases, signalling a longer-term commitment to improving Stadium Paroi as a home worthy of Negeri Sembilan FC and its loyal supporters.

A Call to Fill Paroi

With the stadium taking on a fresh new look, fans are encouraged to continue turning up in numbers and creating the electric atmosphere Paroi is known for—win or lose, rain or shine.

As the works progress, supporters are advised to stay tuned to official club and media channels for updates and the much-anticipated official reveal.

The works are being carried out in stages, with proper equipment and safety measures in place to ensure smooth execution, particularly in elevated areas of the stadium. This initiative reflects continuous commitment towards maintaining Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi as a welcoming and well-kept venue for players, officials, and supporters.

As a historic symbol of Negeri Sembilan football, Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi continues to undergo enhancements that underline the club’s dedication to preserving its home ground.

STAR Paroi Set for Gradual Upgrades as Negeri Sembilan FC Continue to Rise

As Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) continue to build momentum both on and off the pitch, their home ground — Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman (STAR), Paroi — is preparing for a much-needed transformation.

The stadium, a historic landmark for Negeri Sembilan football, will soon undergo a series of phased upgrades, including essential repairs, new commercial features, and a fresh paint job to revitalize its appearance.

In an interview with Harimau Malaya, NSFC Chief Executive Officer Faliq Firdaus revealed that the club’s resurgence and the surge in fan attendance have reignited efforts to restore and modernize the stadium after years without major improvements.

“Over the last 10 to 20 years, there haven’t been any significant upgrades at STAR Paroi,” said Faliq. “But now that fans are coming back in huge numbers — we’ve had four full-house games this season — it’s clear that the stadium deserves to evolve along with the team.”

Fan Support Driving Change

This season, the Sang Rusa faithful have filled STAR Paroi to near capacity, with several matches attracting more than 20,000 spectators — among the best attendances in the Malaysia Super League.

“This kind of support is a blessing,” Faliq said. “We’ve generated between RM1.5 to RM2 million in ticket revenue — a huge help for a club of our size. That income allows us to reinvest in the stadium, improving facilities for both fans and players.”

He added that the overwhelming fan turnout has also caught the attention of Majlis Bandaraya Seremban (MBS), which has now allocated a budget for stadium enhancement works.

Phased Improvements Underway

The planned upgrades for STAR Paroi will be carried out in stages, ensuring sustainable implementation without disrupting match schedules.

“MBS has started drafting the improvement plan, and certain repair works will begin soon,” said Faliq. “From the club’s side, we’ve also initiated several efforts to refresh and modernize the stadium environment.”

Among the upcoming enhancements are:

  • Electrical system upgrades to improve matchday operations and lighting stability.
  • A new LED advertising board sponsorship, adding to the club’s commercial strength.
  • The launch of an official NSFC Concept Store within the stadium concourse.
  • A comprehensive paint job to rejuvenate the stadium’s exterior and seating areas, giving STAR Paroi a brighter, more modern look that reflects NSFC’s current energy.
  • Evaluation of new grass technology, with Zoysia being tested as a replacement for traditional cow grass — in line with the MFL’s 2027 surface regulations.

Collaboration for a Modern Home

Faliq emphasized that the stadium development project reflects NSFC’s long-term vision and close cooperation with local authorities.

“We’re improving things gradually, step by step,” he said. “The key is continuous progress. When the team performs well and fans fill the stands, it motivates everyone — from the club to the city council — to keep pushing for better facilities.”

As the spiritual home of Negeri Sembilan football, STAR Paroi is more than just a venue — it’s the heartbeat of Sekalian Yang Setia. With a wave of upgrades, a new coat of paint, and renewed support from fans and partners, the stadium is ready to shine again — embodying the pride, passion, and perseverance of Negeri Sembilan FC.

Bright Future Ahead: NSFC Confirms LED Board Sponsor, Installation in Progress

Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) is set to elevate the matchday experience at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman with the introduction of LED sponsor boards.

In a recent update, NSFC CEO Faliq Firdaus revealed that the club has already secured sponsorship for the LED boards. However, the installation process is currently in progress as the stadium undergoes the necessary electrical upgrades.

“Our new LED boards are already sponsored. Right now, we are in the process of installing a new distribution board (DB) because the current structure is unable to support the additional electricity load required,” he explained.

This development underscores the club’s commitment to enhancing commercial value and delivering a modern stadium atmosphere for fans and partners alike. Once completed, the LED boards will not only create a vibrant visual experience on matchdays but also open up greater opportunities for sponsor visibility and engagement.

With the upgrades underway, NSFC supporters can look forward to an exciting step forward in the club’s journey to align with top-tier professional standards.
