Negeri Sembilan FC U-20 concluded their Piala Presiden 2025 campaign in 5th place, capping off a commendable season filled with determination, growth, and promising young talent.
Over 20 matches, the young Jangs recorded 9 wins, 7 draws, and only 4 defeats, collecting a total of 34 points with a goal difference of +8 (31 goals scored, 23 conceded). The team’s consistent performances throughout the season showcased their competitive spirit against some of Malaysia’s best youth sides, finishing just behind AMD U-17 and ahead of KLCFC U-20 in the final standings.
Head Coach and the backroom staff deserve credit for nurturing a side that combined discipline with creativity, showing the club’s continued investment in youth development under the Negeri Sembilan FC structure.
Top Scorers & Key Performers
The standout performer for the season was Muhammad Airiel Zafran bin Mohd Azrul, who led the scoring charts with 8 goals in just 13 appearances, proving to be a clinical finisher up front.
Close behind was Muhammad Muhaimin bin Nor Azri with 4 goals across 19 appearances, while Muhammad Aiman Hazizi bin Abdullah and Aqil Faris bin Shalahudin each contributed 3 goals, adding depth to the attacking options.
From defense, Muhammad Zuryhakim bin Mohd Zafran stood out not only for his solid defensive displays but also for netting 2 goals, while Hani Amir Hakimi bin Abdul Ghani added another 2 goals to round off the scoring list.
Despite limited assists recorded officially, the team’s attacking build-up play and pressing game were key in maintaining their offensive rhythm throughout the campaign.
Discipline & Commitment
On the defensive side, the young Jangs also displayed a strong sense of commitment — but with intensity comes caution.
- Kartikeyan A/L Valluvan and Muhammad Adam Haris bin Hamizon shared the record for most yellow cards, each collecting 5.
- Muhammad Asyraaf bin Anwar Jufrizal was close behind with 4 yellows, showing his combative nature in midfield.
- Defenders Muhammad Zuryhakim bin Mohd Zafran, Ahmad Fahrien Haiqal, and forward Aiman Hazizi all received 3 yellow cards apiece, underlining their competitive spirit in key duels.
In terms of red cards, Muhammad Adam Haris, Muhammad Asyraaf, Muhammad Zuryhakim, and Muhammad Danish Khalishah each received one, often the result of tough, high-pressure encounters that tested the team’s resilience.
Building the Future
Finishing among the top five in a highly competitive league that includes academies from JDT, Selangor, and Terengganu reflects a strong foundation for Negeri Sembilan’s youth system. The performances of these young players signal a bright future for the club, as several of them are expected to make the leap to the senior setup in the coming seasons.
With unity, determination, and the unwavering support of Sekalian Yang Setia, Negeri Sembilan FC U-20 have once again proven that the future of The Jangs is in capable hands.
