The Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium (STAR) has once again proven itself more than just a football ground.

With thunderous chants, drum beats, and the iconic cry of “Hobin Jang Hobin!”, the home of Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) has become a true fortress in the opening weeks of the 2025/26 Malaysia Super League season.

Under the guidance of head coach Mohd Nidzam Jamil, the Jangs have started brightly with two wins and one draw from their opening three matches, fueled by the unwavering energy of their fans.

“I consider our supporters the heartbeat of this team. Their presence ignites the players to keep running, to keep fighting until the final whistle,” Nidzam told Flash Sukan.

The atmosphere has been electric: 25,500 fans packed STAR to witness the dramatic 2–1 comeback against Selangor FC, followed by another 24,478 in attendance for the 2–2 draw with Kuching City FC.

The noise and passion have not only lifted NSFC’s performances but also struck fear into visiting opponents.

According to NSFC management, ticket sales have already crossed 12,000 as of 10pm last night, with crowd estimates reaching up to 20,000 supporters for what promises to be a high-intensity encounter.

Factors Behind the Ticket Surge

The surge in ticket sales has been attributed to two main factors:

  • NSFC’s emphatic 5–0 win over PDRM FC in the FA Cup earlier this week, which reignited confidence in the team.
  • A spirited opening Super League display against defending champions JDT, where NSFC scored three goals despite falling 3–5 in Johor.

With such form, fans are eager to rally behind the Sang Rusa and witness their attacking duo, Jovan Motika (4 goals) and Joseph Esso (3 goals), continue their fine scoring streaks.

Leadership Calls for Massive Support

Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar and NSFC Chairman, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, urged fans to turn Paroi into a fortress for this crucial match:

“I ask all Negeri Sembilan supporters to be present for this important game against Selangor. Last time, more than 4,500 turned up for the FA Cup match, and now, against our traditional rivals, I hope to see even more. If Selangor are planning to bring 10,000 fans, we must ensure Paroi is filled with our own voices to inspire the team.”

Stadium Capacity and Expectations

NSFC CEO Faliq Firdaus confirmed that the stadium can accommodate up to 23,000 spectators, with the lower terraces alone holding nearly 15,000.

“Judging by the pace of ticket sales, we expect an attendance beyond expectations. The response has been tremendous,” he said.

For Selangor, the match is about consolidating their strong start, while for Negeri Sembilan, it’s a chance to secure their first league victory of the season in front of their passionate home fans.
