Motika: “We Want to Show the New Face of Negeri Sembilan”

Negeri Sembilan FC’s in-form striker Jovan Motika has set his sights on delivering another standout performance when The Jang host Selangor FC this Sunday in the Super League.

The Bosnian forward, who has already netted four goals in his last two matches—a brace against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the league and another two against PDRM FC in the FA Cup—believes the clash with the Klang Valley giants will be an opportunity to prove NSFC’s growing strength.

“I hope I can repeat my scoring form against Selangor because it will be even more meaningful if my goals help the team win,” Motika said.

Rising Confidence and Ambition

At 27, Motika has quickly become a fan favourite with his explosive runs and clinical finishing. He views the upcoming fixture as more than just a regular match, citing the prestige of facing one of Malaysia’s most respected clubs.

“After facing JDT, we want to prove we can compete with anyone. We’ll give our best against Selangor and I’m confident we can do it. This is the new face of Negeri Sembilan, and we want to challenge every team in the league,” he added.

Credit to the Coach

Motika, who played with Kuala Lumpur City FC last season and previously featured for Bosnia-Herzegovina’s U-21 side, praised head coach Mohd Nidzam Jamil for entrusting him with a key role in the squad.

“I’m grateful to Coach Nidzam for giving me the chance to be part of this team. I truly believe Negeri Sembilan can be a major contender in the Super League this season, and we want to place the club at the highest level possible to make our fans proud,” he said.

Focus on Selangor

The highly anticipated fixture against Selangor FC will be staged at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi, with NSFC eager to ride on the momentum from their recent 5–0 demolition of PDRM FC in the FA Cup.

For Motika, the message is clear: consistency, ambition, and belief are the keys as Negeri Sembilan aim to stake their claim among Malaysia’s top clubs.
