MB Aminuddin: Evening Kick-Off Vital to Keep Paroi Alive!

Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar and Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) Chairman, Dato’ Seri Aminuddin Harun, has called on the Malaysian Football League (MFL) to reschedule the upcoming Super League fixture between NSFC and Terengganu FC on 22 November to a night match, instead of the currently assigned 5.00 p.m. kick-off.

Dato’ Seri Aminuddin stressed that an evening match at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi would be more suitable, as most supporters are still at work during the late afternoon hours — a factor that could significantly affect fan turnout and the overall matchday atmosphere.

“Negeri Sembilan is not a team that should play in daylight. If the match kicks off at 5 p.m., many supporters will not be able to make it in time.

As the home team, we should be given the flexibility to determine an appropriate time — even if it means a 10 p.m. kick-off — as long as it allows fans to come and show their support,” he said after officiating the Negeri Sembilan State-Level Innovation Appreciation Ceremony earlier today.

The Menteri Besar also highlighted that Paroi’s strong attendance throughout the season has been one of the driving forces behind NSFC’s consistent performances under head coach Mohd Nidzam Jamil, with the team currently sitting sixth in the Super League table with 12 points.

He expressed hope that MFL will reconsider the scheduling decision, ensuring a more vibrant and fan-friendly atmosphere that maintains Paroi’s reputation as one of the most passionate home grounds in Malaysian football.
