Late Equaliser Denies Negeri Sembilan FC in Hard-Fought Draw at Paroi

Terengganu FC staged a late comeback to hold Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) to a 1-1 draw in this evening’s Super League clash at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi.

Despite being reduced to 10 men as early as the 15th minute, the visitors displayed remarkable resilience to challenge the home side throughout the match. Terengganu’s Myanmar import, Kyaw Min Oo, was shown a straight red card by referee Muhammad Usaid Jamal after a foul on Joseph Esso.

With a numerical advantage, Nidzam Jamil’s men piled relentless pressure on the Terengganu goal, which was initially guarded by Syed Muhammad Nasrulhaq. However, the goalkeeper was later forced off due to injury and replaced by Suhaimi Husin.

NSFC finally broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time when Luqman Hakim Shamsudin finished clinically, giving the Hobin Jang Hobin faithful plenty to cheer about as the teams headed into the break 1-0 ahead.

The second half saw Terengganu reorganise their play, pushing forward with counter-attacking intent despite the disadvantage. NSFC’s defence held firm for most of the half, thwarting several promising attempts from the visitors.

However, the equaliser eventually arrived in the 90th minute when Nurillo Tukhtasinov capitalised on a well-placed pass from Muhammad Ubaidullah Shamsul Fazli to level the score.

The 1-1 result stood until the final whistle, with both sides ultimately settling for a share of the points.
