NSFC Ready for Kuching City Clash at Paroi

SEREMBAN, 28 August 2025 – Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) will return to the familiar turf of Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi, this Friday when they host Kuching City FC in their third fixture of the Liga Super 2025/26 campaign.

After two games, NSFC have collected three points—thanks to last week’s thrilling 2-1 victory over Selangor FC. Riding on that momentum, the squad under head coach Mohd Nidzam Jamil are determined to deliver another strong performance in front of their home fans.

Squad Fitness & Injury Update

In positive news, Nidzam confirmed that the team is largely free of injuries, with several players who missed earlier matches now in contention for selection.

“One thing we are pleased about is that we are injury-free. Players who were unavailable previously may feature tomorrow. Our preparations are similar to other teams—we focus on ourselves, and we are ready for this match,” Nidzam said.

The coach also welcomed the return of midfielder Alex Agyarkwa, who is expected to add fresh dimension and creativity to the team’s play.

Meanwhile, the availability of captain Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee and forward Luqman Hakim remains uncertain, with the medical team yet to give clearance. “I don’t want to take risks. Only players who are 100% fit will be given the chance to play,” Nidzam explained.

Respect for Kuching City FC

Nidzam was quick to acknowledge the progress made by Friday’s opponents under head coach Aidil Shahrin, who has successfully injected new energy and tactical variety into Kuching City’s game.

“Credit to Aidil Shahrin—he has brought Kuching City to another level, giving them a new dimension. We must be cautious of players like Ronald Ngah Wanja and Petrus Shitembi. Even if they are missing one or two players due to suspension, that doesn’t make them weak,” he said.

Building Step by Step

Reflecting on NSFC’s ambitions, Nidzam stressed that the team is still a work in progress.

“We are still in the building phase. We’re not in the first or second tier of the league yet—we’re in the third or fourth. The key is to remain humble and continue working hard so that we can climb step by step,” the 45-year-old tactician stated.

Fans: The Driving Force

The coach ended by urging NSFC supporters to once again turn out in force at Paroi, recalling the electric atmosphere when 25,500 fans packed the stadium against Selangor FC.

“To our fans, we invite you to come and support us. Your presence makes a huge difference—you are part of the NSFC family,” Nidzam concluded.
